北京大学访学教授 Susan Finder 将做客现场，并以有别于国内专家的视角发表她的真知灼见。

What skills do Chinese legal professionals need for the globalized world?

主讲嘉宾：Prof. Susan Finder 

Susan Finder 教授分别在耶鲁大学、哈佛大学法学院、哥伦比亚大学法学院获得学士、法律博士（J.D.）、法律硕士（LL.M.）学位，曾在包括富尔德律所在内的世界知名律所工作十余年，并曾在香港的几所著名大学任职，现为北京大学访学教授。Susan Finder 教授在其研究领域著述颇丰并被广泛转载，曾受邀在包括哥伦比亚大学和宾夕法尼亚大学等在内的世界知名学府作学术报告。

Professor Susan Finder has obtained B.A from the Yale University, J.D. from the Harvard Law School and a LL.M. Degree from the Columbia Law School, then she worked as a Lawyer or a Special Counsel for years at the world-renowned Law Firms, such as Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. She has published numerous articles, which are widely cited in books, academic journals, government and think tank reports, and has spoken at some of the leading American law schools, including Columbia Law and the University of Pennsylvania. Having teaching and researching experiences at some famous universities in Hongkong, she is now hired by Peking University as a distinguished Scholar and by Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA) as an Arbitrator.

内容提要：

从 Susan Finder 教授的视角看，当前，面对持续增长的国际法律市场，中国法律人不仅缺乏实体法与分析技艺，这经常导致把国际公法、跨国法律与地区法律的事务混为一谈，而且也缺乏在跨境事务中的软技艺，比如说服国际客户持续沟通的技艺。Susan Finder 教授拥有长期的国际法律服务实践经验和在世界不同大学任教的经验，她将为我们提供一个不同的视角，来帮助中国法律人培养这些技艺。

Facing the continually growing international legal market, Professor Susan found that Chinese Lawyers are not only deficient in substantive law & analytical skills, which usually leads to mixing the issues of public international law, transnational law and local law together, they also lack of soft skills incross border matters, such as skills in educating international clients about retaining correspondence, etc. As having long-term practices in international legal services and teaching experiences at different universities in the world, Professor Susan Finder will help Chinese Lawyers to develop these skills from adifferent perspective.
